Age Care Labs, the company behind the elder care brands Emoha and Epoch, has raised ₹85 crore (about USD 9 million) to grow its services across India.
The company
Founded in 2019 and led by Saumyajit Roy, Age Care Labs runs two brands:
- Emoha helps older people live well at home, with 24/7 emergency support, health monitoring, doctor consultations online, help during hospital visits, and wellness and community programmes.
- Epoch Elder Care, acquired in 2021, runs care homes for assisted living, dementia care, rehabilitation, palliative care and long-term support.
The funding
- Amount: ₹85 crore, a Series B1 round, reported on 2 July 2026
- Investors: Shrem Group, Rainmatter (from Zerodha), Pegasus Finvest and family offices
- What’s next: it is part of a larger ₹250 crore Series B round that the company expects to close in early 2027
- Raised so far: more than USD 20 million in total
The money will go into more elder care services, better technology and healthcare, and expansion to new cities.
A new senior living brand
Shrem Group and Emoha are also launching Shremoha, a premium independent living platform for seniors. It plans hotel-style communities that combine private homes with preventive healthcare and coordinated care.
Why investors are paying attention
India’s population aged 60 and above is expected to reach about 347 million by 2050 (UNFPA India Ageing Report 2023). With more children living in other cities or abroad, families are looking for trusted help for parents at home. That is why companies like Emoha, Anvayaa and others are growing, and why investors such as Zerodha’s Rainmatter are backing them.
